Simon Phillips

I went to College after school and studied my trade up to and including City and Guilds advanced level 3. Since then I have always had the desire to start my own business and be my own boss. Now I can make beautiful wooden furniture the way it should be made, and with the high level of customer care I would expect myself.

I recently moved to a new, much larger joinery workshop, where I have invested heavily in “state of the art” machinery. An example of this is our spindle moulder and sleeved tooling system. As a result we can now produce bespoke beautiful windows and doors that exceed the latest “Part L” building regulations and comply with the Wooden Window Alliance criteria. This also complies with paint manufacturers specifications, so their paints and finishes adhere to the timber correctly (giving a life expectancy of 60 years minimum!), and achieve incredibly low energy ratings.

RANDOM FACT

Did you know, a wooden window produces negative 12 Kgs of carbon through out the entire production and life of the window? Including the glass! Whereas a PVC U window produces 80 KGs per window of Carbon into the atmosphere, that’s approximately 1 ton per house hold! Also, PVC U windows are non recyclable.
